The Henry County 4-H Program recently established a new endowment fund through the Henry County Community Foundation. The purpose of the new endowment fund is to support 4-H programming in Henry County, which develops citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and a positive youth development approach.
For generations, the Henry County 4-H Program has developed local youth to be the leaders in our communities today. I am personally one of those benefactors.” said Dusty Sonnenberg, Executive Director of the Henry County Community Foundation. “The Henry County Community Foundation is proud to facilitate the new 4-H Endowment Fund which will provide resources to the Henry County 4-H Program to continue to fulfill its mission locally.
The Henry County Community Foundation was established in 1986. Since the formation, the Foundation has awarded over $175,000 in grants to the Henry County Community. The primary mission of the Henry County Community Foundation is to serve our local residents by providing a stable organization where donors can make charitable gifts and be confident that they will be managed to enrich the lives of those around us forever. The Foundation also serves as a resource of expertise for donors, charities, and other organizations.
